The association
Who are we?
Statutes and name
ADEWE is a development association created on 29 July 2012 at the Val-de-Marne prefecture by the participants of the Founding General Assembly, under the French 1901 law on associations and groupings.
Its acronym carries its method. In the Wè language, ADEWE means: "Let us sit down and take our place as Wè" and "Let us organise ourselves as Wè". In all our thinking and action, we give priority to the Wè cause.

Statutory purpose
The association's objectives
- 01
Mobilise and raise awareness among the Wè and friends of the Wè, to defend and promote the Wè country.
- 02
Record, codify and harmonise Wè cultural and economic values and practices, along with those of their institutions: the KOUI, the GLAE, the DJI (BLAON).
- 03
Define and promote socio-economic development action across the Wè country.
- 04
Mobilise and organise every resource — human, intellectual, economic, technological — needed for development and for maintaining cohesion in the Wè country.

Lead action promoting cohesion between the peoples of the Cavally and Guémon regions.

Development
Of a broad communications campaign to carry the voice of the Wè.
Promotion
Of individual and collective initiatives for the development and integration of ADEWE members in France: symposia, conferences, cultural festivals and exhibitions.
Mobilisation
For the delivery of the infrastructure that supports all of the above.

Advancing access to healthcare, education, infrastructure and sustainable economic development across the Cavally and Guémon regions.

Our commitment
ADEWE commits to devoting its action fully and entirely to the activities set out in its statutory purpose, and to those that contribute to achieving it. It nevertheless reserves the right to take a position on political questions relating to the Wè cause.
